22 - Rhymes With Orange
Week 22 - Monday 5/29 to Sunday 6/4
Every year around this time, I succumb to the urge to drag out the tripod and venture into the back yard to see what nature and our limited gardening skills have put on on display. We planted a Hibiscus in a large pot in the yard a couple of years ago but the drought and a faulty dripper conspired to stunt its growth to the point where it had never bloomed. This year, the return of actual rain and a new dripper have made it happy and it has produced some beautiful orange blossoms to celebrate better times. This was shot early in the morning just as it was starting to open for a day of tempting passing insects by flashing its private parts. Flowers are naughty that way.
